Option 1 - Tutorial for our christmas in heaven blocks
with stencil wording plaques
Hi crafters! many of you wanted some tips and advice on the difference between our etched wording plaques and the stencil cut wording plaques on the Christmas in heaven blocks. We have put together a video of me completing some using the stencil cut ones as a stencil and also photos and a step by step guide.
You can also use the stencil plaques another way and I will be doing a follow up blog post to show you so do keep an eye out! Also see my other blog post on the etched wording plaques
I will outline the products used and where you can find them on our website and also a little guide if you'd like to have a go yourself. Enjoy! xxx
You will need:- Links to the products you can buy from our website are further along in the article
*Christmas in heaven loose or joined blocks set with stencil cut wording plaques
*Ribbon
*Sand paper
*Uniball white gel pen
*Crafters acrylic white/americana white paint
*Crafters acrylic white gloss
*Crafters acrylic christmas green
*Twinkles glitter - green
*Black spray paint
*Wood glue
Step by step Instructions
Step 1 - Paint the plaque and the chair in your chosen colours
Step 2 -Glitter the base
Step 3 - Lightly sand the edges of the blocks
Step 4 - Apply two coats of white acrylic paint
Step 5 - Lightly sand the edges of the blocks to create a smooth finish
Step 6 - Apply 1-2 coats of white acrylic gloss
Step 7 - Place stencils on the blocks
Step 8 - Spray the stencils using a side to side then up and down motion to cover all the areas
Step 9 - Leave the paint to fully dry before removing the stencils
Step 10 - Once dry remove the stencil and Use a uniball while gel pen and white gloss to touch up areas if needed
Step 11- decorate the blocks
Step 12 - your now ready to set it all up on the base plaque
