Decorating our geometric shapes with Glitter
We have a lovely range of geometric shapes and here is one way to decorate them to really make that shape stand out on the plaque!
What you need
STEP ONE
Paint the plaque in your chosen colour
Paint your geometric shape - you can use a fine paint brush, paint pens or a roller
Apply 2-3 coats of paint to the plaque and 1 coat of black to the shape
STEP TWO - Glue the shape onto the plaque using wood glue
STEP THREE - Leave to dry
STEP FOUR - Next you will need your glitters
We recommend ultra fine glitter (NOT chunky glitter)
STEP FIVE - Apply pva glue to the 1st area you would like to glitter using a very fine brush
STEP SIX - Shake youur chosen glitter colour into the section that has the glue in
STEP SEVEN- Tip and shake off the excess
**TOP TIP** Shake onto a piece of white paper (creased in the centre) you can then easily pour the excess back in the bag
**LEAVE TO FULLY DRY**
STEP EIGHT- Once dry you can then apply pva glue to the next section.
You can use a cocktail stick to get in the small areas
STEP NINE - You can now shake in the next colour of glitter
Don't worry if you get any in the 1st colour. As you let it fully dry it will just brush off.
**If you don't leave it to fully dry the colours will bleed and mix if you do get any in the other colours as you go
STEP TEN- Shake off the excess glitter
STEP ELEVEN - Leave to fully dry
STEP TWELVE - Repeat on all the other sections remembering to allow each section of glitter to fully dry
GLITTER COMPLETED
STEP THIRTEEN - Go over the geometric shape with a paint pen to give it an extra coat
STEP FOURTEEN - Lacquer spray to seal the glitter and stop if coming off
STEP FIFTEEN
STEP SIXTEEN - You can decorate with gems, and flat back pearls
